NIOS at St John’s Centre No. 080016 was started in 2006 as the 150th year project. Mrs. Suchitra Samaraj took over as the coordinator from November 2014.

This centre, which started with a modest beginning, has over the years grown in leaps and bounds. We had about 500 students in the last batch (Oct 2014 to March2015).

The staff, who take the classes for the various subjects are mainly from the school faculty. A few retired teachers also help out in conducting the classes.

A programme on “Swaccha Bharath” was conducted at our AI study Centre on the 31st January 2015. The programme included a talk on the “Swaccha Bharath Campaign” initiated by our honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendera Modi. An Essay and Painting competition was conducted after the talk.

The AI Coordinator is helped by Mrs. Sibyl Kumar and Mr. Arun Selvam. The classes are conducted only on Saturdays from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.
